Mewar Festival which is celebrated in Udaipur.
Time of this festival: March - April
Mewar festival is annual festival which is celebrated in the month of March or April as per the spring season. 'The city of Lakes' Udaipur is very famous for the celebration. Vibrant and eclectic celebration of this festival attracts so many tourists from several parts of the world. This festival is dedicated to womenfolk who decorate the idol in order to get married bliss. This procession finally terminates at the Gangaur Ghat of Lake Pichhola where the idols worshiped. The major attraction of this festival is Tradition dance, Music, fairs, handicraft display, amazing foods and colorful fireworks.
Teej Festival, Jaipur:
This festival celebrated in July -August
Teej festival is most famous in India which is celebrated by the married women and maidens. Women and maidens worship Goddess Parvati in this festival so that they can get bliss and marital happiness. During the celebration of this festival womenfolk dressed in green clothes and sing folk songs and hang swings from trees. They decorate the idols with beautiful ornaments and colorful dresses for worship.
At this time Jaipur markets become the major attraction due to various colors.
